PBS High School (Grade 10 and 11) visited an international education expo held by Idp Indonesia at PO Hotel on January 23 where they had the opportunity to collect detail information about studying overseas.

On the occasion of Chinese New Year celebrations at our school this year; PBS  will be hosting a traditional dragon dance on campus on Monday, 12 February, 2024 from 8.30 to 12.00. This vibrant and energetic performance is a significant cultural tradition that symbolizes good luck, prosperity, and happiness.

Students, parents and staff are also invited to visit and play at PBS High School Game booths offering lots of fun. Please check the school notification sent today. We look forward to this exciting event and invite you to join us in celebrating this favourable occasion.

Career Day at our school on 25 January, 2024 provided a valuable opportunity for students’ minds to explore their passions and aspirations. The inspiring individuals who spoke to them offered a glimpse into the world of work, inspiring our students to dream big and work hard towards their own goals. Let them shape their futures!

Learning Python in high school offers numerous advantages that extend well into future academic pursuits and employment opportunities. Python's simplicity and readability make it an ideal introduction to programming, fostering problem-solving skills and logical thinking. As students transition to higher education and careers, Python proficiency becomes a valuable asset in industries such as technology, data science, and artificial intelligence. The language's versatility allows exploration in various computer science fields, ensuring students develop future-proof skills relevant to the evolving technological landscape. Beyond its practical benefits, Python provides an enjoyable learning experience, making coding fun and engaging for high school students. Embracing Python is not just about learning a language; it's an investment in skills that will shape their academic and professional journeys positively.

Also new, starting this January 2024 Permata Bangsa primary school students grades 4 to 6 will be learning the Cambridge Computing course. This will be offered to students in grades 1, 2, and 3 as well as grades 7 to 9 starting in July's academic year.

This computing curriculum empowers learners to grasp the inner workings of computers. It provides students with the opportunity to delve into the inner workings of a computer, gaining insights into the functions of various components. They will cultivate coding skills using visual programming languages like Scratch, discovering that computers execute actions based on human instructions.

Our Computing curriculum unfolds through five distinctive strands:

Computational Thinking: Empowers learners to devise and articulate problem-solving solutions employing algorithms, logic, and precision.

Programming: Guides learners in comprehending the fundamental constructs of programming languages, fostering an appreciation for the impactful contributions made by Computer Scientists.

Managing Data: Prompts reflection on how computers store and analyze data on an ever-expanding scale.

WOW, what a fantastic time at the Permata Bangsa Family Gathering on Thursday night! As we bid farewell to the semester, what could be better than coming together for an evening filled with live music, the warmth of friends, and a delightful potluck dinner? The atmosphere was lively, with staff members showing great enthusiasm, and even some parents joining in to dance and sing along with the band. Some students and parents took the opportunity to face off against their teachers on the ping-pong tales and not too many hoops were thrown due to unforeseen rain. Some students played it safe and produced some wonderful batik creations in the art room.

As the holiday season approaches, we wish everyone a joyful and safe break. May your holidays be filled with moments of happiness and relaxation. Enjoy your well-deserved time off and Stay Safe!

Today although excited for the time off, all of the PBS staff were very sad to see Ms Titin conduct her very last parent-teacher interview.

Ms. Titin has dedicated an impressive 12 years to Permata Bangsa, and now she's embracing a new role as a full-time mother. Her impact on PBS is immeasurable, having imparted knowledge to almost every student, who is sure to miss her dearly.

Family Gathering at PBS!

Dear Parents,

We're excited to invite you to a special family gathering at the school next Thursday, December 14th, starting at 4 PM (16:00). It's a fantastic opportunity to connect with your child's teachers, enjoy some fun activities, and learn more about what's coming up in semester two and the 2024/2025 program.

Here's what you can expect:

• Sports and Games: Challenge yourself to a friendly game of tennis, ping pong, or basketball, or simply relax and chat with other parents.
• Information Session: Head to the IT room where our computers and staff will be ready to answer any questions you have about semester two and the upcoming program.
• Treasure Hunt: Join your child in a thrilling treasure hunt at 5:45 PM. ️
• Potluck Dinner: The highlight of the evening! We'll all gather in the canteen for a delicious potluck dinner at 6:15 PM. Don't forget to bring two portions of your favorite food to share! ️

Additional Information:

• Parking: Due to limited parking at the school, we suggest parking at Super Penyet, Toko Ada (McDonald's), or using GoCar.

A new photoalbum SMP Sleepover Dec 2023 was added to gallery

SMP students camping at the Srondol Campus having a great time.

On December 1st, despite the rain, the 'New Campus Sleepover: Journey Through the Night' illuminated our school with a vibrant spirit. Students, armed with snacks and high enthusiasm, assembled their tents with creative flair. Laughter resonated through the air during dinner preparations, as groups cooked and shared stories. The evening unfolded with captivating performances—a musical poem, vivid painting descriptions, and a compelling speech promoting bravery and kindness.

The night progressed with a thrilling yet fitting horror movie, followed by enjoyable moments of singing and storytelling. This was complemented by the addition of delicious pizzas, enhancing the overall joyful atmosphere. The following day kicked off with exciting sightseeing and diverse activities, ranging from breakfast cooking to sports and refreshing showers.

As the sleepover drew to a close, a heartwarming scene unfolded, with students serenading each other. This marked the conclusion of an adventure-packed night, destined to be a cherished memory for our students.

A Day of Learning and Fun

Last Friday, the primary students of Permata Bangsa School embarked on an educational adventure to Dairyland, and the experience was nothing short of delightful. Boarding the spacious Udinus bus, the young scholars were excited as they set out for a day of exploration and learning. Once at the dairy farm, the students had the unique opportunity to try their hands at milking cows, gaining firsthand insight into the intricate process of dairy production.

The excitement continued as they witnessed the fascinating journey from raw milk to yogurt, discovering the science behind this nutritious delight. The students exhibited exemplary behavior throughout the visit, showcasing their enthusiasm for knowledge and respect for their surroundings. It was evident that they had a great time and absorbed valuable lessons about the dairy industry, fostering a deeper appreciation for the origins of the everyday products they enjoy. This hands-on experience at Dairyland broadened their horizons. It instilled a sense of curiosity and wonder about the world around them.

On Monday, November 20, 2023, students of the twelfth grade at SMA Permata Bangsa took part in the Talent and Interest Assessment organized by the Education Standards, Curriculum, and Assessment Agency of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemenristekdikti).

The assessment was conducted online in the ICT room. This assessment aims to assist high school students in choosing majors in higher education and careers that align with their potential. The talents and interests of the participants will be mapped based on various measurable aspects.

Implementing ABM is expected to inform students, parents, and teachers about the student's potential at SMA Permata Bangsa. ABM plays a crucial role and is expected to be a bridge to students' future success."

Pada Senin, 20 November 2023 Siswa-siswi kelas XII SMA Permata Bangsa mengikuti Asesmen Bakat dan Minat yang diselenggarakan oleh Badan Standar, Kurikulum, dan Asesmen Pendidikan Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemenristekdikti).

Asesmen dilakukan secara daring di ruang ICT. Asesmen ini bertujuan untuk membantu siswa SMA dalam memilih jurusan di Perguruan Tinggi dan karier yang sesuai dengan potensi. Bakat dan minat peserta didik ini akan dipetakan berdasarkan sejumlah aspek yang terukur.

Dengan pelaksanaan ABM diharapkan dapat memberi informasi kepada siswa, orang tua dan guru tentang potensi yang dimiliki siswa-siswi SMA Permata Bangsa. ABM memiliki peran yang sangat vital sehingga diharapkan jadi jembatan kesuksesan siswa dimasa depan.

Dear Parents and Students,

For the comfort of everyone, we have decided that the planned Friday tour will be postponed. On this day there will be too much activity on the grounds (asphalt resurface parking lot etc).

Progress on the building is going well, however, we feel that one more week of home study / online learning, to allow for a deep cleaning prior to students arrival would benefit everyone.

Therefore, please note that next week (16^th – 20^th) students will be studying online.
We have setup professional Google classroom accounts (similar to Zoom) to facilitate the online learning. Information regarding this shall follow shortly.

The parents visit has been moved to next Friday the 20^th of October. More details shall follow during the week with updates on the progress. Expect 9am onwards open for visiting on the day.

We thank you for your patience and support and feel that you will appreciate the reasoning behind this decision and will see the difference during your visit next week.

Note – This Friday 13^th students shall continue studying online as per planning.
