Our hero this week is George Washington Carver. He was an agricultural scientist and an educator from United States. George Washington Carver was optimistic. Despite the tough condition, he believed there was always something to learn and apply. He found and taught ways to improve farming.
Did you know that George Washington Carver developed over 100 uses for the peanut plants? We looked at numbers in the hundreds. Each number in a 3-digit number (like 100 for example) has a place within the number. That place gives it a value or amount. We call it place value.
