            Permata Bangsa School is thrilled to have the students back, filling the hallways with laughter during their orientation week.

            Teachers, who missed them dearly over the break, are excited for the new academic year. The campus is alive with anticipation and optimism as new and returning students reunite and embark on their educational journey.

            This next few days is filled with activites getting to know each other again, and a look into what is in store for the  exciting year ahead.

            A very special thank you to our PBS Alumni Florrence and Bradley, currently home from USA and Sweeden for dropping past and giving our high school students some motivating words of wisdom and advice. We continue to wish you guys all the best with your future !

            Terima kasih banyak kepada semua orang tua, siswa dan staf yang telah mendukung Open House Sekolah Permata Bangsa yang pertama.

            Pagi yang sukses, yang memberi kami kesempatan untuk berbagi dengan komunitas tentang rencana ke depan untuk Sekolah Permata Bangsa.

            Bapak Shane secara resmi telah mengumumkan tentang perubahan pengurus yayasan/sekolah, bahwa Bapak Stefanus Suryaatmadja MBA (Steve) dan Dr Pulung Nurtantio Andono, adalah manajemen Permata Bangsa. Bapak-bapak ini adalah orang tua dari siswa Permata Bangsa dan membawa serta pengalaman bisnis dan pendidikan mereka selama bertahun-tahun.

            Ibu Kerry akan tetap menjadi anggota yayasan tetapi akan mundur dari posisi Pembina yayasan sehingga dia dapat fokus sepenuhnya pada keahliannya yang telah terbukti dalam pelatihan guru, memastikan bahwa PBS memiliki guru-guru terbaik di Indonesia. Ibu Kerry juga akan fokus pada perencanaan karir dan berkomunikasi dengan universitas internasional yang akan dituju oleh siswa kami.

            Pengumuman penting lainnya adalah bahwa pemilik tanah kampus Gombel telah setuju untuk memperpanjang setidaknya hingga akhir Oktober 2023 dan bersedia membantu PBS jika kami perlu melakukan transisi ke kampus baru selancar mungkin. Ujian Cambridge akan diadakan di kampus Gombel di bulan Oktober ini.

            Bapak Steve menjelaskan bahwa izin bangunan sekarang sudah selesai dan renovasi non struktural termasuk lanskap sudah dimulai. Izin membutuhkan waktu untuk memastikan keamanan, uji tanah/tanah dan pemeriksaan pondasi harus dilakukan sebelum pekerjaan struktural. Kami juga harus melakukan beberapa perubahan untuk memastikan bahwa kami 100% mematuhi Cambridge. Bahwa bangunan tersebut hanya membutuhkan renovasi, kami tidak sedang membangun gedung baru, dan rencana pemindahan kami pada pertengahan Oktober 2023 dapat tercapai sesuai target. Kami di sini membagikan rancangan interior untuk membantu memberi Anda gambaran yang lebih jelas tentang tampilan akhir dari ruangan di dalam gedung sekolah yang baru. Saat kampus baru terbentuk, kami berencana untuk terus memberi informasi kepada orang tua dan siswa. Tanah dan bangunan ini dimiliki oleh bapak Steve, memastikan PBS tidak lagi memiliki masalah harus pindah paksa.

            Beberapa orang tua mengatakan mereka lebih suka tahun ajaran baru dimulai seminggu setelah rencana awal kami pada 17 Juli 2023 dan kami akan mengubahnya menjadi 24 Juli 2023 sebagai awal tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Kami yakin para siswa akan menikmati liburan tambahan satu minggu ini.

Bahwa PBS bermaksud untuk mendapatkan Nilai A untuk Akreditasi SMP dan SMA dan perubahan yang diperlukan telah dilakukan, seperti ruang OSIS, laboratorium sains, auditorium dan infrastruktur lain yang diperlukan untuk memastikan keberhasilan akreditasi. Bapak Pulung juga akan membentuk tim yang bekerja sama dengan Ibu Kerry untuk menjalin kerja sama antara universitas dan perguruan tinggi nasional dan internasional.

            Terima kasih banyak kepada Bapak Amin dan Bapak Tory atas paparannya tentang kurikulum Permata Bangsa dan bagaimana kurikulum kami berbeda dari sekolah lain, bahwa kami adalah kurikulum yang kaya bahasa yang berfokus pada literasi.

            Seragam BARU Permata Bangsa telah diresmikan. Ini adalah desain modern yang sangat cerdas yang menampilkan batik ciri khas kami sendiri. Seragam baru kami akan memberikan siswa rasa bangga dan memiliki komunitas PBS. Toko daring akan siap dalam 24 jam ke depan di mana orang tua dapat melakukan pemesanan.

            Program ekstrakurikuler yang baru akan dimulai pada tahun akademik 2023/2024. Kotak saran akan ditempatkan di pintu masuk sekolah dan juga secara daring, memungkinkan siswa untuk memberikan saran tentang program yang ingin mereka lihat. Program karir dan kepemimpinan telah diusulkan.

            Kami ingin mengucapkan terima kasih yang tulus kepada Alumni dan orang tua Alumni kami, khususnya Ibu Meliawati Santoso. Mereka telah membagikan umpan balik yang sangat positif tentang pengalaman mereka dengan Sekolah Permata Bangsa. Mereka menyoroti dukungan luar biasa yang mereka terima dari program kami, para guru yang luar biasa, dan komunitas sekolah yang peduli. Berkat faktor-faktor ini, peralihan mereka ke pendidikan lanjutan, baik di lembaga nasional maupun internasional, berjalan sangat lancar. Kami sangat menghargai ucapan baik dan dukungan yang berkelanjutan mereka. Kami juga mengucapkan terima kasih khusus kepada siswa kelas 11 kami saat ini, Clara, yang berbagi pengalamannya belajar di Permata Bangsa, dan bagaimana sekolah telah memperkuat karakternya dan memberikan kepercayaan dirinya saat dia sempat berpikir tidak mungkin untuk mendapat dukungan dari teman dan gurunya.

            Terakhir, terima kasih yang sebesar-besarnya kepada para guru atas penampilan angklung mereka serta band kelas 10. Kedua penampilan tersebut lebih baik dari yang diharapkan siapa pun. Benar-benar profesional dan hebat!

            Di Permata Bangsa School, kami sangat senang dengan apa yang akan terjadi di masa depan. Kami berkomitmen untuk tidak hanya membangun kembali, tetapi juga meningkatkan dan tampil lebih kuat dan lebih baik dari sebelumnya.             Many thanks to all the parents, students and staff that supported the first Permata Bangsa School Open House!

            The morning was a great success, and this gave us the opportunity to share with the community the forward planning for Permata Bangsa School.

            Mr Shane made the official announcement that there have been changes to the board of the foundation/School, that Bapak Stefanus Suryaatmadja MBA (Steve) and Dr Pulung Nurtantio Andono, are the official management of Permata Bangsa. These gentlemen are parents of Permata Bangsa and bring with them many years of proven business and educational experience.

            Ms Kerry will remain a board member but shall step down from the governing board position, so she is able to focus solely on her proven talents in teacher training, ensuring that PBS has the best teachers in Indonesia. Ms Kerry will also be focusing on career planning and working with international universities for our students to attend.

            Another important announcement was that the landowners of the current campus have agreed to extend at least to the end of October and are willing to assist PBS should we require to make our transition to the new campus as smooth as possible. Cambridge exams will be held at the current Gombel campus this October.

            Pak Steve explained that the building permits are now completed and the nonstructural renovations including landscaping have already begun. Permits took time as to ensure safety, ground/soil tests and foundation checking had to be done prior to any structural work. We also had to make some changes to be sure that we are 100% Cambridge compliant. That the building only requires renovations, we are not building a new building, and our planned move mid October is well within reach. We share here a rendering of the planned interior to help give you a clearer picture of the finished product. As the new campus takes shape, we plan to keep parents and students closely informed. This land and building is owned by Pak Steve, ensuring PBS does not have the issue again of having to force relocate.

            Pak Pulung explained that his experienced team is assisting PBS staff on the upcoming accreditation renewals. That PBS intends to receive and A accreditation for both SMP and SMA and required changes have been made, such as student council rooms,  science labs, auditorium and other required infrastructure to ensure success. Pak Pulung will also form a team working with Ms Kerry to form working ties between national and international universities and colleges.

            Many thanks to Mr Amin and Mr Tory for updating us regarding the Permata Bangsa curriculum and how our curriculum differs from other schools, that we are a language rich curriculum focusing on literacy.

            The NEW Permata Bangsa uniform was unveiled. This is a very smart modern design that features our own custom batik. Our new uniform will give students a sense of pride and belonging to the PBS community. An online shop should be ready within the next 24 hours where parents can place their orders.

            New extracurricular programs will be starting in the 23/24 academic year. A suggestion box will be placed at the entrance of the school as well as online, allowing students the ability to make suggestions on the programs they would like to see. Career and leadership programs have already been suggested.

            We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our Alumni and parent Alumni, especially Ibu Meliawati Santoso. They have shared incredibly positive feedback about their experience with Permata Bangsa School. They highlighted the excellent support they received from our program, the exceptional teachers, and the caring school community. Thanks to these factors, their transition into further education, whether it was in national or international institutions, was remarkably smooth. We greatly appreciate their kind words and continued support. Also a very special thank you to our current grade 11 student, Clara, who shared her experience of coming to Permata Bangsa, and how the school has strengthened her character and given her confidence that she thought not possible through both peer support and the support of her teachers.

            Finally a very big thank you to the teachers for their angklong performance as well as the grade 10 band. Both performances were better than anyone could have expected. Truly professional and great job guys !

            At Permata Bangsa School, we are thrilled about what lies ahead in the future. We are committed to not only rebuilding, but also improving and emerging stronger and better than ever before. We are dedicated to providing the best education to build a brighter future for our students and make a lasting lifelong impact!

          • We are excited to announce our 2023-2024 academic year calendar for PBS School

            Please note, we will begin our academic year slightly earlier this year so as parents with students in other schools are able to enjoy the holidays together.

            Please note : Billing for 2023-2024 Academic Year will start August.

            We will soon be releasing the Cambridge exams calendar and we are still waiting on the Department of Education to announce their national exams schedule. These items will be added to the calendar as we move forward.

            We went to Tembi Rumah Budaya in Bantul to experience javanese cultural activity. We rode our bikes to a traditional market to buy bananas, cocunut, sugar and banana leaves. We had to communicate with the sellers in Bahasa Jawa. It was chalenginv but fun. As soon as we were back from the market, we cooked a traditional meal. After lunch we painted puppet and made batik. Nothing could be more fun. We really enjoyed our trip.

            Many thanks to the moms and dads, students and teachers who dressed up and took part in the PBS Chiniese Lunar New Year celebrations. It has been a few years since the dancing lions have visited the campus and we hope that moving forward we can see them every lunar new year.

            Pengingat Penting.


            Kami mengingatkan para orang tua bahwa kita selalu menyambut dan merayakan Tahun Baru Imlek di Sekolah Permata Bangsa.

            Perayaan akan dimulai pukul 10.00 WIB dengan parade kostum, dilanjutkan dengan permainan dan orang tua siswa kelas 8-11 mengadakan bazar.

            Pada siang hari juga akan ada pertunjukan Barongsai profesional. (Mohon bawakan uang untuk mereka makan!).

            Semua detail acara perayaan telah dikirim ke rumah dalam surat informatif minggu lalu. kami menantikan kehadiran Anda di PBS Jumat, 20 Januari 2023.

            Important Reminder.

            We wish to remind parents that they are always welcome to the annual Chinese New Year celebrations at Permata Bangsa School.

            The celebrations begin at 10am with costume parade, followed by games and grade 8-11 parents are presenting a bazar. During the day will also be a professional Lion Dance performance. (so please bring some money for them to eat!)

            All details have been sent home already in an informative letter last week and we look very forward to seeing you at PBS on Friday, 20th January 2023.
