          • Indonesian Independence Day 2022

          • A new photoalbum Indonesian Independence Day 2022 was added to gallery

17th August 2022 at Permata Bangsa School. Many thanks to all the PBS students and all of our staff for turning up early to celebrate Indonesia’s Independence Day 2022. Pulih Lebih Cepat Bangkit Lebih Kuat. Merdeka ! Indonesia

          • Let's Save Our Environment by making Eco- Enzyme

          • Trainer, Ibu Rina, met with PBS senior student to learn how to eco enzyme. Garbage enzyme (also known as eco enzyme) is a multipurpose liquid that is produced from the fermentation of organic waste. As part of the community, our PBS students practiced how to make the eco enzyme to save our environment.

          • Penyuluhan Kesehatan dari dokter Puskesmas Ngesrep

          • Grade 4, 5 and 6 students learned how to take care of their mouth and teeth health from the doctors of Puskesmas Ngesrep. They also learned how to prevent themselves from Dengue Fever and Hepatitis.

          • PBS Yearbook 2022

We are proud to present the Permata Bangsa School Yearbook 2022

Happy Holidays and Stay Safe everyone !

            The PBS Team.

          • It’s all about the fun!

          • Grade 10 is at it again. In the harsh world of business, our grade 10s pulled out all the stops and were reeling in the crowds of bargain hunters to their well-stocked stalls. There was even a motor scooter with side car on hand to present the delicious snacks.

Leaving your wallet or purse at home was not an excuse today, as grade 10 had you covered with QR scanning phone banking. They really did seem to think of everything.

Many thanks to our parent community that came out to support our aspiring business leaders.

Perhaps the most important lesson of business learnt here today though was:

Make it feel like fun, not like work.”

          • Our Generous Community

          • Thank you to all our parents, students, teachers, and everyone else in our community who have opened their hearts for such a good cause, helping out the flood victims of the surrounding Semarang port area.

Tomorrow grade 10 will deliver these items and we shall keep you updated.

Well done! It’s people like you who make Permata Bangsa School Simply the Best!

          • Our Leaders of Tomorrow

          • A wonderful lunchbreak was had by all. The PBS grade 7, 8 and 9 students demonstrated their entrepreneurial skills in a pop up bazar. Homemade treats, artwork, refreshing drinks and of course some sweets.

The popup bazar is part of the PBS Project Based Learning programme that focused on encouraging students to further develop their entrepreneurial skills.

We plan to run the bazar again soon and invite parents as well. Hopefully Ms Endang and her team can organize some student buskers to entertain the busy crowds on the day.

Well done guys and we hope you did not eat and drink all of your profits !

          • Mission Success

          • Many thanks to all Permata Bangsa students who assisted with the collection and packaging, loading, and unloading of all the donated goods for the flood victims.

Also, to our wonderful parents, students, staff and community members who also donated these much-needed goods. We can be sure that these items will be much appreciated.

Grade 10’s delivery mission to the North Semarang government offices was a success and some hard work was involved creating that human chain.

            Great work team!!!

          • Ms Kerry follows PBS journalists to Dieng Plateau

          • I’ve enjoyed following the PBS photo journalists as they investigate the impact of Covid-19 on communities and tourism in Central Java.

Today the team journeyed to the Dieng Plateau. Dieng (Dihyang) is a mountainous area. Ancient Javanese believed that ancestors and gods resided in these high places. The name "Dihyang" comes from Old Javanese: di means "place" and hyang means "ancestor" or "gods", literally Dihyang means "place of the ancestors".

The Dihyang area was used by the ancient Javanese as a center for worship. Local people generally call this area by the popular name "land above the clouds", because the area is surrounded by clouds or mist from the mountains.

Dieng's misty location almost 2,093 m above sea level, its poisonous effusions and sulphur-coloured lakes make it a particularly auspicious place for religious tribute.

          • Ms Kerry's Photojournalists looking for their next "story".

          • It was a delight to accompany the PBS senior photography students on the first school outing since the onset of Covid-19. It's been almost 3 years.

Kreo Cave is a tourist attraction located in the city of Semarang . It's located in the middle of what locals refer to as Monkey Island. The Island is located in the middle of the Jatibarang Reservoir, a result of a dam that dams Kreo River.

Folklore has it that this cave was once used by Sunan Kalijaga for asceticism. Home to many long-tailed monkeys, legend has it that there are also three magical monkeys of the men of Sunan Kalijaga guarding the forest. The word "Kreo" comes from the word Mangreho meaning take care or preserve.

Whilst the students crossed the bridge to the island to photograph the cave and try to suss out the three magical monkeys, I stayed on the main land to study the more civilized lot that hung about the parking lot waiting for handouts....
