A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Warmest Regards
Ms Kerry

PBS Comes Together In Tough Times
Ms Kerry would like to send out a round of applause to all our wonderful Parents, tenacious Students and dedicated Teachers. The support our school has received during the past two weeks has been absolutely heart-warming.
Fifty percent (50%) of the teaching staff are up and on line with you via Zoom. The second half are in training and should be ready by the end of the week.
Monday and Tuesday we were able to provide effective learning programmes to our students and I am building Wednesday's timetable at this very moment.
As the rest of the teaching staff come on board Zoom, we will be better able to create and upload a new timetable to Edupage. It should be published this weekend so you will have it for next week’s programme.
Students who miss their class because mom or dad need the computer for work, will be provided with a video copy of the lesson.
Thank you, once again, for all the hard work and uplifting support. I am very proud of our school - we really come together when times get tough!

Message From the Principal
Salam hangat,
Kerry Neuman-Clark, Kepala Sekolah.Greetings from Ms. Kerry.
Like many of you, the Permata Team is closely monitoring the spread and impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus) within Semarang as well as Indonesia and around the world. This is first and foremost a global health crisis, and our thoughts and prayers go out to those who have been directly affected by the virus in their community. As an internationally minded school, whose members regularly travel abroad, we are also actively tracking COVID-19 and taking measure to protect our students, parents, employees and business.
Over our 20 year history, we’ve had significant experience in navigating periods of volatility and uncertainty. And this time is no different. Our focus, as always, will be on providing our students with “Simply The Best” education possible. We’ll do this by keeping our employees safe and healthy, the school programme running, and staying focused on our mission.
While it’s too early to know the exact impact the virus may have on the local and school community, I’m confident that our robust continuity plans will allow us to continue to operate and serve our students throughout the current situation. We’re actively testing various programmes and applications within the realities of the COVID-19 situation to better understand the implications of the virus, and to adjust our policies and programmes accordingly.
We will continue to keep you regularly updated.
Warm Regards,
Kerry Neuman-Clark, Principal

Charlie's Light! Lets Stand Up for Downs on March 21st
My Grandson Charlie is this year's Poster Child for "World Down Syndrome Day". Please share the youtube link to his special song with all your friends. Let's build awareness as to how special our children are! Let's make "Charlie's Light" go VIRAL!
From the website: "Charlie's Light" is a song written to express a father's gratitude by juxtaposing his own joy with the emptiness of those that struggle blindly without a guiding light. World Down Syndrome day is celebrated on March 21st to recognize the many contributions to our communities played by people with Down syndrome. This song and slideshow is my attempt at a contribution to this celebration. Please spread the word and "Rock your Socks" on March 21st!
